About the Event
This month, both Stuart Davey and Xavier Lane-Mullins will be presenting.
Stuart Davey is Manager of Tasmania Legal Aid’s Community Legal Education & Information team. His work includes delivery of a school program addressing issues of violence in a range of forms – from bullying, online abuse, sexual and family violence. He has a background in community work and group dynamics, before family law. His current work focuses on prevention and working with men, especially young men (adolescents and boys), on gender-related issues.
Xavier Lane-Mullins is a Therapeutic Specialist with Australian Childhood Foundation. He works with children and their carers, following experiences of family violence and the resultant traumas. Xavier is very keen to engage men who wish to question unethical values they have inherited and harm women and girls in relationship. He also facilitates groups in the Alternatives to Violence Project.
Together Stuart and Xavier are involved with delivering a program called Mentors in Violence Prevention. They wish to share their stories, experiences and insights into working with men on important issues particularly as they relate to violence.
