About the Event

You are invited to attend a brief presentation on Suicide and Self-Harm: Signs, Symptoms and Support.

The session will cover how to recognise if someone may be at risk of suicide or self-harm in the prison environment and how to pass this information onto the prison service.

It will cover ideas on how to engage someone in a conversation about suicide or self-harm if you believe they may be at risk, or if they have directly told you they are at risk.

It will also cover the correct procedure for passing information on so that we can all feel confident that the risk can be managed.

It will also cover the process/procedures at TPS relating to Suicide and Self-Harm so that you can understand what happens with the information you provide.

This information will be presented by Bronwyn Hocking, Psychologist- Therapeutic Services, Risdon Prison.
