On the 18th of February, Dr Romy Winter shared results of a recent research project on vandalism for the City of Launceston. Data from the Tasmanian police and Council were discussed, and a literature review explored the drivers of vandalism. Preconditions of a suitable target, motivation to vandalise and gender were identified. Case studies are highlighted which demonstrate good practice in intervention. Recommendations for the future were shared before the group held a discussion.
